Chapter History

The Gamma Omega Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha, the 97th link in the Chain of Chapters, was founded at the University of Houston on February 11, 1956. Zeta Tau Alpha was the first sorority on the University of Houston campus, and we are proud to have received many awards from our national office as well as our Panhellenic community!

Since 1956, our once small chapter has grown into a group of 80 young women who have the "welfare and harmony of the fraternity at heart."
